Monticello Christmas Show

We are currently in the Christmas Show at Monticello Antiques.  It is such an honor and pleasure to participate in this show.  Those of you in the Portland area should really check out the Salvage Room where the show is held.  The vendors there are a fun bunch with great displays and wonderful items.  Here are some pictures of our booth.

If you have ever been into the shop, you know how we love to "pack it in"!

A little bit of this and that for everybody...

From chandeliers to blow molds of Santa and snowmen...

And bins to store it all in....

Calm Before the Storm

I went to the beach last weekend. I forget how beautiful the coast range is in the fall with all the oranges, yellows, browns, and greens. It was unusually warm at the coast too....70 degrees! No coat required. Stayed at The Ester Lee which has cottages on the overlook so didn't even have to get dressed to enjoy the waves. It was a sorely needed mini-vacation. So now I am ready to face Thanksgiving and Christmas with renewed energy. The shop is now de-Halloweened and ready to start bringing in the Christmas. Stop in often because things really change day to day from here on out.

It's Raining, It's Pouring!

Now that the rains have started here in Oregon, it is time to hunker down and cozy up the house. I just lit my first fire, grabbed my Pendleton blanket and am pouring over the wonderful pictures in the new issue of Jeanne d'Arc Living.

The latest issue of Jeanne d'Arc Living in the shop has such sweet bedrooms to admire.

We're Expading!!

We have now added a space at Monticello to our repertoire. It is a pleasure to be part of this wonderful mall. It is really "THE place to be" in Portland (besides Vintage Station). Here's a link to Monticello. Watch for us in the Fall Show coming up soon too. We are a couple of busy ladies!!

What Is Ephemera You Say?

Definition of EPHEMERA

1
: something of no lasting significance —usually used in plural
2
ephemera plural : paper items (as posters, broadsides, and tickets) that were originally meant to be discarded after use but have since become collectibles

We have lots of it and are amassing fun examples of things to do with it.  How about some classes in the fall at your favorite shop?  We are going to start offering classes in the evenings mid September through December.  Watch for a schedule and more info to follow!

Vacation Time!

If you haven't been in for awhile we have once again redecorated. One thing goes out the door and the whole shop gets a new look! This cabinet is really fantastic and it is under $300! It won't last long as everyone who comes in ponders where to put it in their home.

With wedding season upon us I think a fun gift would be something unique and vintage.

Is it too early to think Christmas? Not if you plan on crafting some things. We have cleaned up the ephemera area and have fun stuff to get artsy-fartsy with!

Or how about a garden gift for the-hard-to-buy-for people?

Or something just for you for the fun of it?

Yup, vacation time is upon us.  How about a good read?  We now have the July issue of Jeanne d'Arc Living Magazine.  But you better hurry because they sell out fast.....Here's a little sneak peek:

And here's a sneak peek at August's issue. We get them in the first day of the month that we are open so come on in and get your issue. They are such a wonderful read/look book. Well worth saving for inspiration. Remember, no advertising!
