Vacation Time!

If you haven't been in for awhile we have once again redecorated. One thing goes out the door and the whole shop gets a new look! This cabinet is really fantastic and it is under $300! It won't last long as everyone who comes in ponders where to put it in their home.



With wedding season upon us I think a fun gift would be something unique and vintage.



Is it too early to think Christmas? Not if you plan on crafting some things. We have cleaned up the ephemera area and have fun stuff to get artsy-fartsy with!





Or how about a garden gift for the-hard-to-buy-for people?



Or something just for you for the fun of it?



Yup, vacation time is upon us.  How about a good read?  We now have the July issue of Jeanne d'Arc Living Magazine.  But you better hurry because they sell out fast.....Here's a little sneak peek:










And here's a sneak peek at August's issue. We get them in the first day of the month that we are open so come on in and get your issue. They are such a wonderful read/look book. Well worth saving for inspiration. Remember, no advertising!

Up Close and Personal

 

Here are a few up close pictures my daughter took one day at the shop....she enjoys working there for me and I enjoy spending the day with my grandson in exchange!  It gives us both a nice change of scenery.



 

















Now for the personal....I broke my darned thumb...in four places! falling off a ladder.  Thought I was at the bottom, stepped back and did a two point landing on my rump and my thumb...the back side could take it but apparently the thumb couldn't!  Am bummed cuz it prevents me from doing as much as I'd like... the cast is at least a cute purple...thank goodness I'm right handed and it is my left hand!

All Good Things Must Come to an End

 Don't be alarmed...we're still here.  It's just that the window display at Monticello Antique Mall ends Thursday but that just means the shop will be rearranged again.  It gives us a chance to redo tired displays, rethink merchandise and bring in new things...a kind of spring cleaning.  Here are some pictures of what you can look forward to.











Also, the new Jeanne d'Arc Living Magazine is coming!  We sold out of the May issue within days.  So come in and check it out starting on the first of June.  The response has been overwhelming since we started carrying the magazine.  We are the exclusive distributor for the Gresham area.

Monticello Antique Marketplace Window

During the month of May we are featured at Monticello Antique Marketplace. Sonya has really out done herself this time....She is such a great decorator. You can check out their Facebook page for pictures of the window on our opening day. It is such an honor to be allowed the opportunity to work with the people at Monticello's. We always have so much fun decorating during their shows and challenging ourselves with keeping up an ever changing vignette. Spring Starts Tomorrow!

Spring officially starts tomorrow so she is coming in on a wild horse. Here in the Northwest we have had snow, hail, rain and sun all in a matter of hours! I love it because it means there is hope that the cold, grey weather will end soon. The daffodils, crocuses and pussy willow are all abloom. Hope springs eternal!

March...In Like a Lion....Out Like a Lamp?

We have so many wonderful lamps in the shop. It takes awhile to get them all turned on in the morning. We probably have at least one of every type. And lampshades? Don't even go there. Check out our previous post on covering your own lampshade here.
